September was a busy month starting off with the Amaranth Wreath Laying Ceremony on September 12, in Arlington, VA. We had six members and one other from Georgia attending this very special event. Our traveling members were well received at the Maryland Official Visit of the Supreme Royal Matron on September 11. We arrived in Arlington on September 9, and enjoyed the sites, to include the George Washington Masonic Memorial in Old town Alexandria, VA as well as several of the sites in the DC area prior to the Amaranth events.
Peachtree Court had a great fund raiser with the First Annual Old Car Show on September 19th with over 30 old Cars and drivers turned out for this event. We are excited about the prospects for next year when it is reported to expect upwards of 50 entrants. Thank you HL Sue and SK Lee along with Peachtree members for making this happen.
Unity Court hosted their annual “Shot in the Dark” event on September 26th and the Alabama Exchange was that same night in Birmingham, Alabama. S.K. Bob and I, along with eight of our Georgia Travelers attended the Alabama Exchange and were awarded the first place prize certificate for having the most out of state members present. S.K. Bill and H.L. Linda attended the “Shot in the Dark.” From all reports both events were a big success.
October is filled with the last two Official Visits of the year. October 3 we will be at Jonesboro Court. October 16 will find us in Albany. Christina Court along with SK Bill and HL Linda Wagner, GRP and Grand Page, will host the Georgia Exchange on Friday Evening with a pizza party and fellowship. On October 17 the Official Visit at Christina Court with light Brunch and Reception beginning at 11:30 AM, with the Official Visit at 1:00 PM. After which, all are invited to the Holloway house for the Annual Pig Picking and fun and fellowship. Plan to eat around 4:00 PM. We are expecting a good number, upwards of 150, at this event. The blocked rooms at Merry Acres Inn are all sold out at this writing.

These are exciting times, our Courts are making every effort to increase membership and get the longtime members active again. We are hoping and praying this trend will continue. This is the future of Amaranth in Georgia. H.L. Stella has some great ideas to help you along with membership and will be working with you, give her a call. Many of you have already scheduled your Leadership meeting visit. If you have not already done so, please contact H.L. Betty Taylor and set up a speaker for your court. She has a good committee working on this and will be glad to visit your court.
Thank you all for the contributions to Diabetes Research. You are so faithful to contribute to our Philanthropic project this year.
Time is passing so quickly, Installations for the 2016 year will begin in December and all but one Court has theirs on the calendar, make your plans to support our Courts in this impressive ceremony.

Fundraising Idea for Month – Restaurant Night!
Many restaurants will have a night where all proceeds will go to a charitable organization. Check around your area and ask both chain and individual restaurants if they want to host such a night!
