It's so fun to see my Dad delivering Bibles as one of UBO's most faithful volunteers. This month he was just one of several volunteers that helped get Bibles into the hands of those in need! Here he is with Chaplain Marshall Dunbar of Christian Community Action.
"God has placed calling on each of our lives, and with a grace-filled capacity we are commissed to reconcile others back to God--just as we have been reconciled (2 Cor. 5:8)."-(Reconciliation Outreach Newsletter.) This is a quote from one of our partner's newsletters that really captured my attention.
Doesn't this perfectly summarize why we are here? Millions of dollars are spent in counseling fees and thousands of self-help books are written addressing the age-old question, "What is my purpose?" and "Why am I here?" and yet the Bible clearly gives both of these answers and more!
Join our mission this holiday season as we aim to close out the year with another
1,800 Bibles given away in addition to the nearly
3,500 we've already given away in 2015! We are praying for the resources to finish the year with
5,000 of God's precious Word given away! We will be joining Operation Care International again this year for their nationally recognized "Christmas Party for Jesus" in which they serve over 10,000 homeless and impoverished and we supply the Bibles. We will also be joining Soup Mobile as they lavish 500 homeless with gifts, a banquet, and new Bibles for their "Celebrate Jesus Gala." Look for details on how to participate in these events very soon.
