Internship for Applied Analysis of Education Data-IAMSTEM HUM


(On Campus Internship)

About:
Goal of the internship is to use statistical skills learned in the classroom for student-led research with real data resulting in presentations and/or publication. Weekly meetings will be scheduled to collaborate with Center for Educational Analytics staff on research analysis dealing with student success at UC Davis. Students will be encouraged to submit a proposal to the URC Research Conference. Students will be mentored as to how to apply knowledge in a real research setting, while building strong research skills.

Qualifications: Have a strong interest in using data analysis skills to answer innovative, student-generated research questions related to undergraduate student success at UC Davis.

The American Enterprise Institute-Spring Internship


About:
The American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research (AEI) is seeking interns for the Spring 2016 internship term.

Internship opportunities are available on both the research and business sides of the think tank. All positions require excellent organizational, research, writing, and computer skills, as well as the ability to multi-task. Responsibilities on the research side include research, writing, editing, and some administrative work. Most of our research positions support more than one scholar, but they are generally grouped by topic. On the business side of the think tank, our conferences, development, communications, and government relations offices all seek interns. Vsolvit Jr. Data Analyst


About: The Jr. Data Analyst’s primary role is helping to implement IT and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) solutions by building the databases that support the solutions. The Jr. Data Analyst also plays a supporting role in related projects. This is a part time position for approximately 10 hours per week.

Qualifications: A degree in computer science, programming, or a related field (or actively pursuing a degree.)
High proficiency with basic productivity tools and software, e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Familiarity with current technology (social media, cloud computing, “smart” internet searching.)
Strong analytic, quantitative, and reasoning skills.
Ability to synthesize innovative ideas within project constraints.

Data Science Intern-LinkedIn


About:
A Consumer Analytics data science intern will access one of the biggest consumer data sets in the world to find deep insights about our diverse member base. A successful intern will turn raw data into useful models and will get to suggest, implement, and test product changes.

Data scientists on the Consumer Analytics team of LinkedIn help ensure that we use data to make product decisions wisely, taking into account our members’ multi-screen usage of LinkedIn at various times throughout their professional careers, and in determining the best ways to engage users and deliver value to our members.

As a Data Science intern you will:
  • Extract and analyze data on over 380M LinkedIn members to understand the complex product ecosystem, generate insights to inform proactive product recommendations.
