"Speaking in Tones"
Rich Tones, Jewel Tones, Earth Tones, Gray Tones,
Color and Composition is the language of art. Blackbird Studio hosts their fall exhibit with new work from local artist members. Through unique perspectives and styles each of these artists bring imagery to life through color, content and individual techniques. Watercolorist Vickie Lloyd finds the impression of a flower or the serenity of a coastal landscape with her brush through color texture and movement.
Fabric and Paper Collage artist Gail Henderson works with pieces of imagery to reconfigure her own vision from the sum of its parts.
Acrylic painter Ruth Bleau reaches into the mysterious unknown to find dimension through patterns and brushwork that bring paint and pigment to life on her canvas. Together Blackbird’s artists adorn the walls of the gallery with drama and wonder.

An Artist Reception open to the public is scheduled for Sunday November 1st, from 1PM to 4PM.
Blackbird Studio is located on Rte 9 in North Berwick, Maine across from Noble High School. Fall hours are by appointment and weekend afternoons.
