Tips for a Successful 2016 Open Enrollment

It was great seeing so many of you at the agent meetings! Open Enrollment season is right around the corner. Here is the presentation from the meetings to help you with your sales.

BlueChoice HealthPlan would also like to offer some helpful tips to make your 2016 Blue OptionSM enrollment period as successful as possible.

Passwords
Take a few minutes to check all of your BlueChoice® login and password credentials now.

Key sites to check:
  1. BlueChoice My Business Manager
Use the same username/password combination that you use for the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina My Business Manager. Notify your BlueChoice representative immediately if you have an issue logging in.
  1. BlueChoice Private Site 
Your login for this page is your six-digit BlueChoice agent number (example: 001ABC). Please DO NOT attempt to use an email or your username for My Business Manager to log in or reset a password on this site.

You must contact your BlueChoice representative to have this account set up or reset.
  1. Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM)
This site links you from our site to the FFM as an agent and is the direct link to change agent passwords for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). When accessing the link, you will need your FFM user ID and password. 
  • If this is your first year participating on the FFM, you must provide BlueChoice with your FFM user ID. Please send your FFM user ID to agentlicensing@bcbssc.com. Please reference your six-digit agent number so that agent licensing can record it properly within our system.
  • If you get locked out of your agent portal, you MUST call 855-267-1515 to have it unlocked, then change the password. After this call, you will receive a temporary password. Do not copy/paste the password when you log in again. You must physically type it in. You will be prompted to change the password. Change it to something you have NEVER used before.
  • Make sure your browser works with the CMS site. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are the best fits for this site.
Payments
You can help your clients make payments via:
  • Online — You will need the member’s ID number to set up a profile.  
  • Issuer Direct at application by bank draft, pre-paid debit card or credit card
  • Blue Retail Stores
  • Agent Only Support Line at 866-280-0766
  • Billing at 866-569-5933 (for agents or members)
