Snaresbrook Prep School supports The Dream Factory
Children at Snaresbrook Prep School are raising money for The Dream Factory after it was chosen as the school's charity of the year.
The charity, founded by Epping mother Avril Mills following the death of her son, Oliver, from leukaemia, makes dreams come true for children and young adults with life-limiting conditions.
The school's charity co-ordinator, Jaine Alderson, said: "I chose The Dream Factory as it is a local organisation raising money for a very worthwhile cause.
"At Snaresbrook Prep School we understand how important it is to support charities and the children are looking forward to seeing what dreams they have helped happen.
"Throughout the Autumn Term we will be carol singing, hosting a cinema night and taking part in a Disney dress-up day to help raise money for Avril and lots more events to come over our Summer Term."
Headteacher Chris Curl said: "We're very excited to be working with a small, local charity which helps families all around the UK.
"Avril has already granted 350 wishes and we hope that with our help and support we can get her to another 350 wishes and more!
"On December 15 and 16, at 8am, we hope to fundraise by carol singing outside South Woodford Station. Come along and join in or donate to a brilliant cause!"
Avril said: "It was so lovely to talk to al the children in their assembly. I'm looking forward to working with the school and I will be joining them in December for their carol singing at South Woodford Station."
She added: "I really like to see children helping children."
