How Transactional Analysis (TA) helped this young boy to start to say "No"

Dear <<Voornaam>>,

As you all know, I have been "on the move" for many years. Transactional Analysis (TA) has been part of my journey for over 30 years and has been an important tool of support and strength in my life "on the move".
My journey with TA continues as I am a qualified Trainer and Supervisor in TA. I use the TA model during my psychotherapy and coaching sessions. With the following story, I want to share this experience with you to show how TA can help you improve your well-being.

Just a small recap for those who forgot: Transactional Analysis (TA) is a model to understand personalities and their communication. It also offers a clear philosophical framework, based on existentialism.

Today, I was talking to a young boy who was stressed, because he is overwhelmed by his life. He thinks people are expecting so much from him that he is most of the time in total stress. Next to that, he has an ongoing feeling of never ever being good enough
For him, the way to live his life is to work hard and to please other people. That just seems easier for him then saying "No". He avoids saying "NO" to people in order to avoid feelings of guilt and shame.

When we had a closer look at his behaviour, he found out that he is paying such a high price for this and that his batteries are running on empty ...

Recognising this pattern is a first step which will help him to find new options in dealing with the workload and the expectations of others. This is a learning process, but with the right attitude and the Transactional Analysis (TA) model, he will understand his own actions more and will know where he has to be careful, focus and change his attitude. This with the necessary respect towards himself and towards others. It's a win-win situation!

The TA model offered him a clear insight to understand his own pattern!

Do you think you can make that change into your life? Do you think you can learn to say "No" ... But more important do you want to learn how to stand stronger in life? Do you want to make that change?

Then the 2 day workshop Transactional Analysis Introduction, which takes place on November 21st and 22nd, is an interesting workshop to follow. In a calm and peaceful atmosphere, with time to breathe and enjoy the beautiful yurt and fireplace, I will introduce you to the basic principles of TA.

Find out more about this workshop by clicking here. Nederlandstalige cursisten zijn ook welkom! Vertaling voorzien!
Don't hesitate to enrol and profit from the Special NOVEMBER-enrolment-promotion (until November 9th). (Limited number of participants!)

Linda
