Introducing 2016 IASC International Conference
 

While we are working hard on the program of the next IASC Conference (Tel Aviv, December 28-29 2015), we are glad to share the announcement of the 2016 IASC Conference.

It will be held at Pisa University, October 26-28 2016, on "Science and Democracy. Controversies and Conflicts". The University of Pisa is an Italian public research university, located in Pisa, a beautiful town in Tuscany (360Km from Rome). It was founded in 1343 and it is very famous.
 
On this occasion, the IASC would like to thank Prof. Pierluigi Barrotta, full professor of philosophy of science at Pisa University and President of the Board of Consulting Editors of the 2016 IASC Conference.
 
Below, you can read the rationale of the Conference, the names of the keynote speakers and some details about the procedure to participate.

Closing date for registration online and submission of abstracts: 1 August 2016.

Notification of abstract acceptance: 30 August 2016

Deadline for the conference fee payment: 15 September 2016

 

Please send a 400-500 word abstract (in English) with a short bio for a 20-minute paper (max. 20 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes for discussion) to:

Paper proposals should include the following elements:

  • Title of the paper
  • Author(s) name
  • Author(s) institution affiliation, address, and contact e-mail
  • Abstract text (max. 400-500 words)
  • Times New Roman font size 12 pt.

 

Inscription Fee

Non-IASC Members: 50 EUR (conference materials included; Conference fee does not include: travel and accommodation costs, coffee breaks, lunch)

IASC Members: 30 EUR

Students: Free entrance

 

To pay the Conference fee, you have two options.
