THANKS to Jack Jr. and Rhonda Galloway and family for hosting the 2015 Harvest Party at their spectacular farm and new home in College Grove.  The bluegrass band was awesome, the chili and food was amazing, the hayrides and games were incredible and the weather was perfect. And did I mention the open fire with hot dogs and s'mores?  Nearly 200 came this year, and had a wonderful day.  Put this event on your calendar for next year!  It is such an annual highlight.

Congratulations to Karen Carlson And family for the late Carl Carlson receiving the 2015 Y-Cap Champion Award posthumously at the YCap annual Luncheon Tuesday, attended by several NFCNers.

Have you stopped by the Woodland Cafe for a cup of coffee or tea on Sunday? If not, you need to for no other reason than to meet 'T'! That would be Theresa O'John! Theresa heads this ministry up and does an amazing job! Tell her THANK YOU when you see her and enjoy her warm smile and the hot coffee that she Brews! Thank you Theresa for all you do!!! And, thank you for all those that give her a hand!! What a blessed people we are at NFCN to have so many great ministry partners!!

FINANCIAL UPDATE:  We fell around $14,000 short of our need in October.  This brings our fiscal year shortage to app. $65,000.  Your financial faithfulness has never been more needed.  Please remember to give as God provides and leads.

NAZREC: Every Wednesday Pastor Matthew Dunlap and some volunteers are going to Kirkpatrick Elementary School and Caldwell Elementary School to conduct a basketball club.  The children from these schools that participate in the basketball club are also children that will participate in our basketball league that starts in January.  Anyone who would like more information or would like to be involved please contact Pastor Matthew Dunlap.

If you see David Blier give him a BIG THANK YOU!!  Because of his leadership with our Titans parking ministry the Jubilee Building is going through a renovation that will better serve our church and the community.  David Blier oversees this ministry which includes the gathering of volunteers that serve for 4-5 hours each Sunday or weekday that there is Tennessee Titans game.  Thank you David for your leadership and ALL the volunteers for your servant hearts!  We cannot wait to see the new Jubilee renovations that have already begun and should be completed by Thanksgiving.

A NEW ERA OF BLESSING AND RESPONSIBILITY AT NFCN

BLESSING:  On Friday, October 30, the deed on the parking lot property across 5th Street transfers to Main Street Properties, and the financial proceeds of that sale will transfer to NFCN.  It is indeed another historic day in our long story as a church.  Not only will we be totally debt-free, internally and externally, but we will have a reserve fund for the normal ebbs and flows of church finances to enable us to function as a church. Further, we will have as promised an endowment fund of 1 million dollars, which will give us earning proceeds annually to use for Kingdom work (the first being in January, 2017) until Jesus returns and another long-term investment fund of $500,000 for capital improvements.  In addition, your Church Board has approved approximately $600,000 of immediate delayed-maintenance issues on our facility which will begin within weeks.  This is indeed a blessing from God and we praise Him for it!

RESPONSIBILITY:  It is also a new era of responsibility challenge for NFCN to arise to meet.  We, the people of this church, must take seriously our Mission, Vision and the commitment needed to fulfill those with our attendance, financial support and involvement in ministry.  You will see above that we are approximately $65,000 short of income expectation so far this fiscal year.  If this continues, we will have to write into our new budget beginning April 1, 2016 a "loss factor" in income expectation, meaning we will not be able to apply all that was used for building payments this year to effective ministry next year.  That would be so sad!  We would begin our era of greatest blessing without taking full responsibility for the future of our church.  Sad indeed!

Luke 12:48 reminds us: When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required. (NLT)

How seriously do I take my responsibility to the Kingdom and my church?  How faithful am I in attendance, involvement and giving?  What if everyone else at NFCN attended, served and gave exactly as I did.  Where would we be?  It's a challenging question isn't it?

LET US RISE TO THIS OCCASION!  LET US PRAISE OUR GOD FOR HIS FAITHFULNESS IN OUR CHURCH IN THESE DAYS! AND LET US EMBRACE OUR RESPONSIBILITY AS WE ENTER INTO THIS NEW ERA OF NFCN HISTORY!

God bless you!
 Pastor Ulmet
