NEW Ministry Website: Launched!
We've launched our new Doulos Ministries-specific website this fall. (It's okay, jump and shout all you want. We're pretty pumped about it too.)
The big idea is to keep school-specific information that only our local families care about at doulosdiscovery.org (e.g. school calendars, campus hours, student/parent resources, accreditations, school announcements, etc.); and to have a cobranded-but-separate online home specifically for our raving Doulos fans (that's you!).
This allows us to best serve both our friends outside the D.R. and our local families. Mainly to keep you in the loop on how God is moving and how to get involved through giving, serving, and spreading the word—while also giving our local families the school-specific details they need to support their students.
So if you're looking for info on how to Give, Serve, and Experience Doulos just visit: www.doulosministries.us. Things like school calendars, campus hours, student/parent resources, accreditation info, etc. can be found at: doulosdiscovery.org.

While October in N. America is marked by leaves changing, apple picking, and pumpkin spice lattes, at Doulos Discovery School it's a time for adventuring and learning in God's creation. It's a time when we intentionally step outside the classroom and take the learning and discipleship to a whole different level.
From overnight camping trips, to construction initiatives at local churches, to river visits and hiking the tallest peak in the Caribbean—Outdoor Education deepens our students' grasp on things like teamwork and leadership, community service, pushing oneself physically and mentally, and providing a framework for relying on God to persevere through difficult tasks.

|
It is a time to challenge, educate, and grow deeper relationships with students through exploring and learning in the great outdoors. Outdoor Education Month at Doulos provides a fresh, safe, and fun medium for us to pour into and disciple our students.

"That is what we want for our students—we want them not to just learn about things, but to see it up close and to see it through God's eyes. And to appreciate and know our creator more as a result of learning about Him and His creation."
— Danae LeMoine, School Director

Partnership Spotlight: The Loftsgaarden Family
We sat down with longtime Doulos partners, Jeff and Colleen Loftsgaarden, to talk about the impact their partnership has had on their family, Doulos Discovery School, and our community over the last fourteen years.
What began as a simple "conversation around the camp fire" with our founders has blossomed into a beautiful relationship which Jeff describes as nothing short of life changing.
"[It's] a big part of our life and hope it always will be...We'll be partners forever," Jeff told us.
It is no understatement that the Loftsgaarden's legacy of service and generosity has helped build the kingdom in an immeasurable way. We are blessed to have them on the Doulos team, and we are honored to call them friends.

We want to say thank you for your involvement in prayer, finances, and fanhood.
We also want to thank you in advance for prayerfully considering supporting Doulos Ministries in both prayer and finances as we are approaching our fourteenth year as a school and ministry.
Year end gifts are always an important piece of our yearly budget, and we would be overjoyed to have you on our team of amazing sponsors and donors who allow the work we do to continue to be sustainable and impactful.

Service Learning Teams:
A fall full of IMPACT
Each team brings a unique set of skills and gifts which truly blesses our school, staff, and community. Thanks to their great efforts just this fall, we now have new soccer goals, a re-beautified garden pathway, two new classrooms, and our recent medical mission team served over 800 patients last week alone!
Prior trip members have noted, "Doulos provided a life-changing opportunity to serve," and that "this is a work that has eternal impact."
See what other trip members are saying and find out more info about service opportunities at doulosministries.us/serve.
