November 2015
Greetings from ECG!
As I reflect on this past year, I feel so incredibly blessed. Now twelve years in business, 2015 thus far has been our best year yet.
Giving Thanks
Our Clients: The strong professional relationships we have with our clients is what is most important to me, and I am truly thankful to have been able to create such warm friendships throughout these years. We can say that “business is business”, but to us it is not; it is personal. Although we have had short term assignments to assist some of our clients in times of crisis, we have become true “partners” with the majority and for this we are all truly grateful. Thank you for your trust, your confidence and continued partnership.
Our Team: Last month we introduced to you our new Senior Consultant Eric Arndt, and we are now providing additional training services to our hospitality clients (TiPS and ServSafe). Clark Souers is working consulting, training and executive coaching, as is Anita Goldin; both Senior Consultants. Our “rock” has been Patricia Ceballos who is assigned to the majority of our clients and who receives continuous accolades. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful group of HR professionals on our team – Thank you!

On a Very Personal Note:
A year ago this month, I shared some personal news with you all. I had finally become a “Grand Mere” (grandmother) to a set of beautiful twins; Sebastien and Madeleine. They just turned a year old, and I couldn’t help myself but to share with you my beautiful family. Since my son Sandy and daughter in law Michelle live immediately next door, my afternoons have been filled with baby bottles, diapers and French nursery rhymes and songs. Life certainly could not get any better. The stars must have been aligned somehow.
Happy Thanksgiving!
The entire ECG team joins me in wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.
May your stars be aligned too!
Don't forget to change your clocks!
Daylight savings time ends on Sunday, November 1st; remember to set your clocks back an hour. The official switch is at 2am, so enjoy the extra hour of sleep!
Client Highlight: Le Petit Paris
Have you ever dreamed of visiting Paris? If so, no airline ticket needed…. Just make lunch or dinner reservations to “Le Petit Paris” in downtown Los Angeles, and you will see how beautiful Paris can be!
Referred to us by the International Hospitality School VATEL, we were introduced to David and Fanny Rolland, proprietors of Le Petit Paris. We worked closely with their executive team to create the restaurants’ employee handbook, and provided them with a full HR set-up including compliance and HR best practices forms and procedures. We also conducted new hire orientation for their 100+ employees. We are now ready to schedule the harassment, TiPS and Serve Safe training as well.
About Le Petit Paris – Los Angeles
Located in the Historic Core, famously known as the heart of Downtown LA, Le Petit Paris is an all authentic French Brasserie located on the entrance level of the historic El Dorado building, constructed in 1913. Their expertise provides an adventurous; real discovery of the French culinary arts and authenticity of French food. Le Petit Paris brings French culinary expertise, and a unique experience inspired by the atmosphere of Paris – The City of Lights.
Family History
Proprietors Fanny and David Rolland will say: “We were born in a restaurant, literally”. From grandparents to fathers, the restaurant business has been a natural part of their daily lives
Fifteen years ago, Fanny and David decided to create their first restaurant in Cannes, Le Petit Paris Parisian brasserie, located in the middle of this international film festival city. In order to further the opportunity of an unforgettable experience in Cannes to their international clientele, they then decided to open a business on the beach in Cannes, offering a relaxed environment on the beach where guests can lay down on the beach while enjoying a cocktail and gastronomic food.
David and Fanny were always striving to be surrounded by great collaborators in order to provide a real “savoir-faire” to their guests. They are now known worldwide thanks to their hard work and dedication to excellence.
La Gastronomie
All of their dishes are homemade, giving their guests the best quality food. They serve dishes such as “Foie Gras de Canard et son Chutney”, “Tartare de boeuf et ses frites maison”, “Suprême de volaille servi en cocotte et sa garniture grand-mère au jus de viande”, et « La sourie d’agneau confite 72h au miel et thym carottes fondants”.
