World Solar Challenge hits Adelaide

If you or your family or friends happen to be in Adelaide over the next couple days, they might like to drop in to Victoria Square which is hosting the World Solar Challenge vehicles which have travelled from Darwin. The first cars are expected to arrive mid morning in Adelaide. Held biannually, this year we see many new countries compete and a wide variety of designs. No longer is the "cockroach" design the norm. As technology improves designers are challenged to do multi passenger vehicles. Move around and talk with some of the Worlds Smartest Kids in 43 teams from around the World as they help design & test future technology for the vehicles of our not to distant future. And no - you won't see any 'DeLorean' in this lot! (despite many referenced to it being 'Back to the Future Day' (now passed in Aus but still going on in other parts of the World)
