Deed Violations & Where We Stand!
One of our most important responsibilities as homeowners is to maintain our property according to established community standards. These standards are in place to protect property values, maintain our community's unique personality and characteristics and to promote harmony between neighbors. These standards are enforced in a reasonable and diplomatic manner through our deed restriction enforcement process and thankfully most violations are addressed promptly once pointed out.
Legal Action To Compel Compliance
Unfortunately we have a small minority of violations that have not been resolved despite numerous requests or continue to repeat frequently, resulting in the unpleasant but necessary step of legal action to compel compliance. In an effort to make this process transparent, the Board resolved to issue this public notice to all association members that all unresolved or recurring violations will be turned over to legal at the end of October. Most of the homeowners in question have been contacted several times already and given ample time to remedy the violations.
Do Not Wait!
Do not wait until the issue has been turned over to legal. At that point it will be too late and additional fees and charges will apply. The board can work with you on a reasonable timeline for resolving all violations and you also have a right to a hearing in case you feel that a mistake has been made. The board is also available by phone to answer your questions or provide information only. No hearings are handled by phone.
