All the best for the Kapunda Show.

This Saturday is the Kapunda Show. Lots to see and do. We wish the committee and the event well.
It is worth supporting their show by going for a look, as there is quite a bit of synergy with our own Eudunda Show, some equipment is shared, especially in the Horses in Action, and some of the competitions in the pavilion are linked, with the best result from both shows.

St Kitts shiraz has been named best in the world

This news was spotted by Adelaide based Chris Bushell - Chairperson of the SARTI Board (Builders of the Lavender Federation Walking Trail) who loves his wine, and is proud of our district.

"The St Kitts Vineyard, owned by Angaston based Thorn-Clarke, was the exclusive source for the winery's flagship red, the Ron Thorn 2012 Shiraz ($95), which this week was voted the world's top shiraz by judges at the prestigious London-based International Wine and Spirit Competition."

The wine is only made in small quantities,
"However, to celebrate its prize, Thorn Clarke has opened a few bottles this
weekend for visitors to taste at its cellar door east of Angaston."

St Kitts is right on our districts Southern border, and our only 'almost local vineyard'.
