The Roosevelt Funeral Train
The Friends of Madison Library will host, "The Roosevelt Funeral Train," a presentation by UNH Professor Carl Lindblade on Thursday, November 12 at 7 pm in the John F. Chick Room.

In April 1945, the funeral train carrying the body of Franklin D. Roosevelt embarked on  a three day, thousand mile odyssey through nine states before reaching the president’s home where he was buried.

This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will follow the presentation.

Thankful Boxes
My kids taught me how to make these simple little paper boxes.  Leave a note inside to someone telling them why you are thankful for them.  Fun for all, although kids will need help following the directions.

Supplies, instructions and help will be available all month.

Fall Story Times

Library story times will continue to be offered on Friday mornings at 10 am, with stories, rhymes, and early literacy fun, led by assistant librarian Cam Spence.
There will not be a story time November 27.

Drop-In Tech Help

We are offering drop-in tech help on Wednesdays or Thursdays by appointment.  Bring in your questions and we will do our best to find answers for you.

This month's Book Group title
The Madison Library’s Book Group will meet on Tuesday, November 17 at 7 pm to discuss this month’s book, Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. Pick up a book at the library today, and join us the 17th.
Mah Jongg anyone?
Look for Mah Jongg classes coming soon.  We are hoping to start hosting regular games weekly. Please let me know if you would like to be put on a contact list for future classes or games. More information to come!
Don't forget that the Madison Library now has COFFEE available downstairs (.50 suggested donation) for a trial period.  As the weather turns a little chilly, there is nothing like reading the paper or catching up on email with a hot cup of coffee in a comfortable and relaxed setting...this is your place to be!
