Debrucque’s Greenhouses, located on New Boston St in Canastota, is starting an indoor farmer’s market that will be beginning THIS THURSDAY, November 19, from 2-7pm. This indoor market will have a variety of vendors, varying from baked goods, produce, wine, honey, salsas, cheeses and popcorns. Once the spring time comes, Debrucque’s will keep their doors open to the vendors and allow them to stay set up during their weekday and weekend days. This will offer a fun, diverse trip out for your annual gardening needs! For a list of vendors, visit their facebook page at Debrucque’s Indoor Farmers Market.
Debrucque’s has been in business since 1927. They have grown to include 20 greenhouses which grow vegetables, greens, perennials, and annuals. During the busy spring weekends, they expect around 5000 people to walk through the door. In the winter this year, they will be growing tomatoes, cucumbers, and greens. They can be reached at 315-380-1015.
Indoor farmers markets are a great way to expand the “local” foods that you are eating, even through the winter.
