Also on November 12th, we're participating in the annual 5K Walk/Run to Stomp Out Stigma at Our Lady of the Lake University.

2. Grand Opening

Our GRAND OPENING is happening on December 1st, 2015. This is a chance for colleagues, members, donors, and friends to see the new space.  Everybody has been waiting eagerly. Because of this growth in space SA Clubhouse is going to be able to reach more people. All are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be offered. Our City Chamber of Commerce will be cutting a ribbon to make it an official GRAND OPENING at noon. Come and celebrate our Grand Opening.

5.Veteran Day Celebration
Our clubhouse will be open on Nov. 11th! The hours are 9 A.M. – 1:00 PM! Come and celebrate the Vets. in our community.  This day is going to be set aside for fun and celebration. All are welcomed to attend. Veterans Day continues to be observed on November 11, regardless of what day of the week on which it falls. A celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

SPORTS UPDATE WITH DENNIS

D. Thomas

This is an particularly glorious time to be a sports fan. For a few days, all four major American sports (plus soccer!) were operating...until the Kansas City Royals dispatched the suddenly awkward New York Metropolitans in a short, shocking World Series. The Mets had a fabulous season, but their carriage turned into a pumpkin at the end, as Daniel Murphy--who was having a spectacular slugging post season--abruptly lost his batting mojo while retrieving his stone glove at an inconvenient, nay Buckneresque, moment.

Some of us hardly noticed, as the NFL was providing tremendous gridiron drama. The New England Patriots continue to mock the goddess of Justice, rolling up win after win. The Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers have won ugly and often, parlaying stout defense and stuttering offense into undefeated records. Rookie quarterbacks Marcus Mariotta and Jamais Winston have looked pretty good so far. The big story of this NFL season so far has been who has not played: serious injuries plague the league, with aged all-world wide receiver Steve Smith the latest casualty.

And let's not forget basketball. The Golden State Warriors have picked up where they left off, rolling opponents as Steph Curry dropped an unreal 53 points in an early game. The Cleveland Cavaliers are hoping for more production from Kevin Love, and that Lebron's suddenly tricky back holds up through what promises to be another unholy work load. And the hometown heroic Spurs have an exciting new addition to their lineup (L. Aldrige), and a few guys you've heard of before. One of whom, Tim Duncan, has been in more winning games than any player ever anywhere. Pretty Cool.
