CHEW IT UP - Postgraduate forum


November 11, 12 & 13 | 5:00pm - 8:00pm  |  AUT City Campus

Join us to hear presentations by Colab Postgraduate Researchers in the Master of Creative Technologies 2015 programme.

Students will present snapshots of their research projects followed by a brief question and response session. Research areas include: Smart textile solutions, valuing online collaborative creativity, augmenting Samoan identity through mobile digital storytelling, refining a haptic feedback glove for rehabilitation, and integrating drones into real world film making in New Zealand.

ATAATA APÉRITIF - Artist Residency Exhibition

Raphaël and Marion present their residency work that uses conductive inks in a final exhibition and farewell event. Engage with the artists, interact with playful prototypes and learn about their creative process.

MOTION CAPTURE SYMPOSIUM

Discussion and debate around the possibilities of Motion Capture with leading academics and industry practitioners.

CHOREOGRAPHIC CODING LAB - Info workshop

A gathering of the New Zealand design ecosystem that will explore the fundamental and distinctive characteristics and qualities of New Zealand design.

E-TEXTILE & SOFT CIRCUIT DESIGN WORKSHOP


November 5 & 12  |  9:00am - 4:30pm  |  AUT City Campus
 
A two day introductory e-textile workshop aimed at designers, educators and crafters who would like to learn more about e-textiles and soft circuits.
The course is intended to provide participants with the basic knowledge and tools to incorporate electronics and computing into their own creative and/or teaching practices.This workshop is an introduction to e-textiles aimed to give participants an understanding of the basic principles of soft electronics.
