Hi *|NAME|*,

Welcome to the November Business Bulletin.

In this edition we have information on an upcoming business event at Council- 'Keep the cash flowing' seminar. We also provide information about the Business Improvement District (BID) Grant Program, and share a handy business article about the 10 things you absolutely mustn't do if you run your own business.

Business is booming in Maribyrnong, and with so many places to visit and do business with, we will be profiling a different business  in upcoming editions of Enterprise Maribyrnong. This month's profile is about Littlefoot, a funky new venue in the heart of Footscray.

The Big West Festival will be happening in and around the Footscray Business District in late November, with information about the festival program found in this month's newsletter.

We hope you enjoy the November edition.

The Enterprise Maribyrnong Award has been included this year, to acknowledge and recognize the contributions our business community makes to Maribyrnong.

The 2016 Civic Award winners are recognised at a public ceremony and community celebration held at the historic Footscray Town Hall on Tuesday 26 January, Australia Day.

Littlefoot

Littlefoot- Big step for Footscray

If it's a funky and Zen wine bar you're after, look no further than Littlefoot in Footscray.

Nestled along the popular Barkly Street Strip, Littlefoot has steadily become one of the hottest 'go to' establishments in the inner west. Centrally located and a stone's throw away from public transport and the CBD, it is the perfect little spot for after work catch ups, a round of drinks and some delicious nibbles.

With their doors opening in February 2015, Littlefoot owners husband and wife team Liana and Stuart Lucca-Pope, crossed the river into Footscray after a successful stint as owners of Bebida Bar and Café in Fitzroy- a flourishing business in the heart of one of Melbourne's best gastronomic destinations. The owners have now transformed a pizza parlour into a hip, arty and happening wine bar in Footscray.

Complete with live music, gourmet food platters and lots of bar space to enjoy the locally sourced boutique and craft beers they have on offer, the Littlefoot name not only gives a hearty nod to the culturally rich and diverse 'Little Footscray', but also notes the importance of sustainability and their quest to have minimal environmental impact leaving a 'Little Footprint'. Most of their produce is sourced locally.

Big West Festival
20-28 November 2015

Come and see Footscray transform into an artspace!

Big West Festival is the leading community based contemporary arts festival in Melbourne's West. This year's fabulous 9 day extravaganza celebrates the 10th Festival, bringing 70 multicultural, multi artform events to the business district in Footscray, with many FREE events that celebrate the west and the meaning that the West holds for businesses, residents and visitors.

In 2015, Big West will send the art outdoors into Nicholson Street Footscray. Come and play with Angels and Man Rabbits, see a show in a wardrobe, be immersed in industrial soundscapes of sirens and massed choirs and get your arts on!
