The Khronos Group cordially invites you to attend a press event on January 18 launching the next generation of cross-platform mobile audio and multimedia API technologies.  From the 100 member+ industry consortium responsible for OpenGL® and OpenCL™ now comes OpenSL™ ES for mobile 2D/3D audio and OpenMAX™ AL for multimedia and DTV on all handheld devices.

Collectively representing 1000’s of man-hours of work, OpenSL ES and OpenMAX AL enable new levels of audio/video support on any mobile device. Several of the world's leading technology companies will also be announcing their support of these new Khronos standards at this event.

The press conference is scheduled from 1:30 to 3:00 at the Hilton Hotel in San Jose - 300 Almaden Boulevard. Khronos will provide free parking vouchers for the first 30 attendees, discount parking passes are $10 flat rate for all others. Vouchers are only valid in the San Carlos street parking garage, NOT the conference center parking on Almaden.
