The unseasonal heat has been relentless already this summer (excusing of course, the past few super pleasant cool days…).
Summer time is yummy time!
Seasonal favourites such as strawberries and chillies can successfully be grown indoors on sunny windowsills. Along with herbs, they can be picked and added to your cooking, or most likely, just popped directly into your mouth.
Fruit plants and tree’s make excellent gifts. Not only are they growing and lasting, but they are also giving. With the extreme weather predictions ahead, container growing is definitely the way to go, and fruit trees, once established do not have excessive water requirements.
For our more ‘green focused’ clients – why not consider pomegranate, figs, citrus or pecan nut trees as a year end give-away? If space is limited, opt for cranberries, blueberries or granadilla’s, or the smaller chillies, strawberries, herbs & veggies.
Fresh is best and wellness remains high on everyone’s agenda. Contact us for more healthy, growing gift options to consider or visit www.dandylion.co.za
Have a great weekend.
