LCE PTA would like to give a huge thank you and shout out to our amazing families! Our Fun Run was our big fundraiser for the year and with the generous donations we were able to raise 85% of our goal! Thank you for your pledges and donations. These funds will help us continue to offer support to our LCE students with field trips, playground equipment and much more.
Now that the "Big One" is over, remember we have many silent fundraising opportunities as well. Fred Meyer loyalty, AmazonSmile and box tops are just a few. Congratulations to our November Volunteer of the Month, Amy Mann. Amy has two kids at LCE (3rd and 6th graders) and can be found at the school every Thursday helping out with Popcorn. Come rain or sun, she is out there passing out bags of popcorn to our eager students, putting smiles on their faces! She has helped out with Lego Club in the past, as well as volunteered at several PTA events and always steps up when asked to help. Recently, Amy diligently helped the entire 6th grade class with putting up their hallway display before conferences (this means she put up 110 name tags and backgrounds in one day). WOW! She has offered to help all the sixth grade teachers with anything they need done. Thank you so much Amy, for making a difference for our students and teachers.
Grandparents Day
November 24th is Grandparents day at LCE. Join us in the morning for coffee and cookies and then accompany your Grandkids to their classroom where you can learn with them for part of the morning. This truly is a highlight of the year for our students! Be on the look out for more information from your students teachers on what time of day their class will be participating.
Family Heritage night is where families gather to share their heritage with other students and families here at LCE. This can be done by displaying facts and history, artifacts, recipes, the list goes on! We would love to have as many families participate as possible. Examples of what could be on the poster boards are a map, flag, facts, pictures and books on your country. Kids are not limited to use only these examples. Please be creative and use your imagination! Please see our page on the PTA Website for additional details and be watching for a registration form!
