Dear Friends of the Festival,
 
The Harbor Springs Festival of the Book (HSFOTB) is well on its way to becoming a world class event. Our board and volunteers have been hard at work.

As many of you know, Ann Binney has been hired as our Literary Program Director and is working closely with our author committee to ensure we have a diverse and interesting gathering of authors for our first annual Festival Friday, September 30 through Sunday, October 2, 2016.

It is our extreme pleasure to announce that Jim Peery has accepted our invitation to come aboard as the official artist for the inaugural Festival. We look forward to his creative input and his artistic influence that reaches far beyond the borders of our small town.

Chris Cerrudo is the Director of Technology for the Harbor Springs Public Schools and has accepted the position of School Liaison for the Festival. Cerrudo will assist with the Festival's mission to provide inspiring and educational opportunities to the students in our community.

We continue to receive donations through the Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation. Our nonprofit (501c3) status application has been filed and we will be able to take donations directly from our website once that becomes official. 

Our website will officially be up and running November 30th.

We so appreciate all your enthusiasm. We thank you and accept your kind donations and offers to volunteer. We need each and every one of you to make this endeavor a success. Thank you for your continued support and excitement.

The Harbor Springs Festival of the Book is now located at 160 State Street in downtown Harbor Springs. Please join us for our official opening Saturday, December 5th during the Harbor Spring's Merchant's Holiday Open House. Stop by for refreshments and to learn more about the Festival.
