A Word From the Pastor

Your breakthrough is on the other side of thanksgiving, and I'm not talking about the holiday!  There are so many benefits to being a thankful person.  The attitudes of thankfulness and joy are choices we can make as the children of God. Look at how the first revival was marked by people having gladness of heart.

"So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house with gladness and simplicity of heart." --Acts 2:46

Join me in this season of Thanksgiving and let's go for personal revival by being more thankful!  For more on this subject, check out this short article, Happiness and Healthfrom Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Peace & Power,
Pastor Matt

Small Groups Continue

We have just one week left of our Fall semester of Small Groups.  We hope that those of you who participated have discovered more about yourself and your calling in life.  We'll be wrapping up the week of November 16th just in time for turkey day!  There will be a break from Small Groups during the Holiday Season and we'll kick-off Winter semester in mid-January.

In December, each Small Group will host their own Christmas Party for fun and fellowship!  Your Small Group leaders will provide specific details about your Small Group Christmas Party as December approaches, so stay tuned!  We welcome you to attend your party even if you have never been to a Small Group before.  If you aren't sure which group you're in, contact Jennifer at admin@churchatbaltimore.com and she'll help connect you.

Deck the Halls!

Join us after church on Sunday, November 29th to bid farewell to Fall and welcome this Christmas Season!  We'll be taking down and storing our Fall decorations and decorating our house for Christmas.  It will be lots of fun participating in this spirited Christmas tradition together as a church family.

Christmas Celebration

We're hosting a warm, family-friendly Christmas Eve Service on Thursday, December 24th.  Come at 6:00pm to enjoy drinks, refreshments, and fellowship with family, friends, and neighbors.  Christmas Carols will begin at 6:30pm. Bring a snack to share and people with you who are in need of Christ's love and Christmas cheer!
