We are approaching TCANC's 15th Anniversary!
As we approach this milestone, let us take a moment to acknowledge the effort of the founders, numerous dedicated board members and volunteers who have helped shape our community to what we are today. We started with about 70 families and have grown now to over 250 active families! Long time members have seen an entire generation of kids grow up and head to colleges.
As we keep up with this growth though, we are finding that managing our membership information and website manually is getting harder. So, it is time for us to move into the cloud!!
We are in the process of moving our membership information and website to Wild Apricot, a cloud membership management platform (see sample screenshot below)
Please hold off on using the current website for membership information and stay tuned for more updates and how you can help us make this transition smoothly.
On a related note, we now have at least 5 annual events every year and the costs of conducting free events (like the upcoming Tamil Maalai) for our member base have increased. So, there will be a nominal increase in our membership costs to Regular Family: $50 and Individual: $30. Just for comparison, see annual dues (for families) of our sister organizations in the triangle area - TATA: $75; Bengali Association: $50; Maharashtra Mandal: $50.
Even with all these changes, we can assure you that at the heart we will be the same TCA - just a whole new digital experience:)
