Gifted and Talented Overview
Assistant Superintendent Susan Grierson and Gifted and Talented Education Expert Alison Brown will explain SOMSD’s new, more strategic and comprehensive approach to meeting the needs of students with exceptional abilities in our elementary schools on Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 7:30-9pm at Clinton Elementary School. Seth Boyden/Tuscan 5k Run

400 Can Food Drive to Support MapSo
Seth Boyden is sponsoring a canned-food drive through Nov. 13 with the goal of collecting 400 cans of non-perishable food.
BOX TOPS
The Box Tops Class competition is now closed. The final numbers are almost in. Look out for the final numbers on Wednesday Nov 4on Big Tent and the announcement to the school via school announcements Monday Nov 9.
The bigger goal still alludes us. 16, 000 box tops.
Keep a look out for the Box Tops Flyers every month, fill them in and send them back to school.

Garden Recess and Garden Ninjas
Please join us on Thursdays for garden recess! Sign in at the office, get a visitor's pass and meet us in the garden.
Recess Times
· 3rd Grade: 10:30-11am
· Multi-age (Gray, Imperato, Herman, Dulny, Connell, Murphy): 11-11:30am
· 4th Grade: 11:30am-12pm
· Multi-age (Kelly, Sands, Koppenal, Garcia-Pedrosa, Rollin): 12:25-12:55pm
· Kindergarten: 1:35-2:05pm
This year we have started the Garden Ninjas for adults who would rather help in the garden during evenings or weekends. Signing up is not a commitment for anything other than being in the loop.
