Mini Explorers Club

We have been exploring the changing season this half term with conker hunting, squirrel spotting and trying to catch falling leaves (this is quite hard it turns out!). There has also been a lot of stick play with super powered broom sticks, magic wands and sticks so long that they can actually touch the sky!

Thank you to all those children who attended our Fiendish Fun sessions this half term. We loved your pumpkin designs and pine cone spiders!

St Margarets Toddler Group.

We have enjoyed a great half term full of playdough, painting, singing and playing with friends (and drank lots and lots of freshly made coffee!) We have a very limited number of spaces available for next half term every Wednesday from 9.30-11.30am. Just £21 for the half term! Bookings here.

Messy Play

We hosted a special Halloween themed messy play session last week at Heathfield Children's Centre complete with jelly brains, witches snot and monster playdough!

You can join us every term time Wednesday at Nelson School, Whitton 3.30pm-4.30pm & every term time Saturday morning at Stanley Children's Centre 10.30-11.30am (Dads only!) Also look out for our playdough recipe on our website - lots of you ask how we make ours!

Messy Play starts back on Wednesday 4th Nov & Sat 7th November - sessions are commissioned by Achieving for Children and are FREE!

NCS 'The Challenge' day.

We were lucky enough to have a visit from a group of volunteers from the National Citizenship Service programme. This scheme enables young people to take part in a series of challenges over their summer break including working with a local organisation to put on an event. Our team put together a fun afternoon of activities for local children including a tricky obstacle course, tug of war and a scavenger hunt. Thanks to 'Team Kaseben' for a great day!

What's on this half term......

Last chance to book on to Dads Go Wild which starts this weekend coming 7th November....just £20 for this fun 6 week course including a dash of nature play, a sprinkle of learning and a large measure of making fire! Book your place here.

We are so excited to announce a new session for Friday afternoons at the St Margarets Catholic church hall. 'Fantastic Fridays' play cafe aims to provide the perfect place to welcome in the weekend. Join us for a cuppa and a slice of cake while the kids play - entry includes an art and craft activity. Running from 2.30pm until 5pm Fantastic Fridays is suitable for children of all ages so please join us after school! £3.50 per adult and £1.50 per child -pay on the day
(cash & card payments accepted!)

**NEW** ETNA Playgroup Mondays 1.30-3.30pm and Saturday mornings 10-12pm

Brilliant Play are delighted to announce 2 new play sessions starting after half term These new sessions will be held at the ETNA centre and will include art and crafts table, playdough as well as a range of small world play, role play and dressing up. We have use of the garden outside too - great for using our ride on's or kicking a ball! There will be refreshments for all including hot/cold drinks and fruit and biscuits.

As a community group we operate a rota for refreshments and crafts and expect that everyone helps at tidy up time. This also helps us to keep our costs down! Each session is £4 per family and we prefer that you book on a half termly basis
so we can guarantee entry.

Christmas Camp

To aid your 'festive readiness' Brilliant Play are running a 3 day camp so your Christmas preparations are 'all wrapped up' ahead of the big day.

Sessions are suitable for children aged 3-8 years.

Based at the One O'Clock Club building in Marble Hill Park we will have a range of arts and crafts including making tree decorations and lanterns as well as baking some yummy xmas treats and preparing some magical reindeer food to help guide Rudolph and his friends in on Christmas eve. Little legs will get a stretch too we will also be venturing out in to Marble Hill Park for games and scavenger hunts.
