This Fall has been a lot of fun for the youth at NSNP and for new projects! Youth in our Semillas del Futuro After School Program have been busy:
- Learning how to interview community residents through our partnership with POPPYN;
- Exploring the gardens each week through our weekly Garden Explorations workshops (including drying fresh herbs to make dream pillows!);
- Visited the National Constitution Center for the first time;
- Preparing delicious food using produce from the gardens;
- Participating in the first Youth Career Night, organized by Norris Square Neighborhood Project, Providence Center, Motivos Magazine and Taller Puertorriqueño.

After a successful fundraising campaign over the summer, NSNP has started the excavation and construction of our earthship-inspired greenhouse in El Batey Garden. We're excited to have partnered with community resident, mechanical engineer and inventor Adolphe Alexander, Village of Arts and Humanities, and Amherst College's Local Alumni Chapter thus far for the project.
