MST3K + Kickstarter = New Episodes!
The excitement is palpable, and not just for those of us within the Shout offices! Joel Hodgson of MST3K fame decided it was time to try to make more episodes of the beloved, eminently quotable series and launched a Crow(d)funding campaign. Apparently he was not the only one on board with the idea. Support has exceeded expectations and he has already raised more than $1,600,000, which means he’s 75% of the way to his initial goal. The campaign continues and there are stretch goals to be reached, so that he can hopefully make a full season. So please visit www.BringBackMST3K.com and be a part of future Movie Signs! Then tell all your friends. We mean all of them!
And if you’re curious about how the campaign works, check out Joel's latest update. He answers FIVE BURNING QUESTIONS about #BringBackMST3K, including:
- Exactly how he'll use the Kickstarter funds.
- Why the old cast and writers haven't signed on ... yet.
- Why a new cast is so important for the next season.

Dairanger: Behind the DVD |
And it’s up to the Dairangers to save the day. Before there was Power Rangers, there was Super Sentai. The original Japanese series is available now for the first time in North America. Gosei Sentai Dairanger: The Complete Series is a 10-disc set, featuring all 50 episodes and powered up with spectacular martial arts choreography. Add it to your collection today. |

This interview with Dairanger DVD producer Brian Ward was originally published by RangerCrew.com and is reprinted with permission.
Q: What was your first reaction when you saw Dairanger?
A: My reaction was largely the same as when I saw Zyuranger. It’s a little weird to see where the footage used for Power Rangers came from. It really made me wonder about subsequent seasons, as we move away from MMPR. I’m eager—and hoping—to see later seasons, like what was used for In Space and S.P.D. Seeing these early seasons is fantastic, but it makes me want to see more... |

5 Movie Sequels That Were Better Than The Original |
Halloween might be a recent memory, but we won’t be stopped from releasing must-have horror for you. Scream with us through the rest of the year with scads of frightful feasts, like Troll/Troll 2 (11/17), which also includes the hilarious documentary Best Worst Movie (DVD) for the first 5,000 pressed. You can also preorder the bonus-laden Ghost Story (11/24), as well as the home video debut of Blood And Lace (11/24). In December, we have both The Garbage Pail Kids Movie (12/8) and The Car (12/15), which ship with limited-edition posters exclusively from our site (while supplies last). There’s more in the works for 2016, so be sure to stay subscribed and follow Scream Factory on Twitter/Facebook for bone-breaking news. |

It’s an accepted truth: sequels just aren’t as good as the original movie. But every once in a while, we get a true gem: a second (and, once in a great while, third) film that is actually better than the original. These are the films that take the groundwork created in the first movie and expand upon it in smart, exciting ways -- characters are deeper, the world is bigger -- and we made a list of five notable examples. |

“Cravioto has provided us with a film that is well-executed and structured. He has taken everything that is great in an indie film and turned it into a first-class feature.” – Scream Horror Mag
“The visuals are top notch, the atmosphere is spot on, and the pulsating rhythms of the film are broken in shocking ways with the violence and plot shifts. Fans of the undercurrent flows of genre film are going to want to dive into Bound To Vengeance as it comes with a very high recommendation.” – Blood Brothers Reviews
