Welcome to December! I can't believe it is the last month of the year - this year flew by! New Year's Eve is my favorite holiday. I usually spend it alone (by choice - don't feel bad for me (smile)). I clean my living space, make a special meal, and spend some time in introspection. I do a review of the year gone by, and set my intentions for the new year. One of my intentions every year is to get massage on a regular basis. Care to join me in this one? If you're not dealing with an acute pain condition, a good frequency for regular massage is once a month. If you aren't on a regular schedule of massage already, why not give it a try for a period of time and see how much better you feel. If you are, I'd love it if you would share the results you've seen, obvious and subtle both. There is a link further down in this newsletter to submit a review, or if you're not a writer, just tell me at your next session!
The perfect opportunity to introduce your favorite people to a Sarapeutic massage with a gift certificate - a great holiday, or anytime gift.
You don't have to wait for someone to gift you a session, either. This pricing is available to all new clients! If you've been waiting for the right time to experience my work, here it is!
Please spread the word to your friends and family!
DID YOU KNOW that getting regular massage can help your immune system stay strong so you can stay healthy? Increased levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) damage your immune system. Massage lowers cortisol levels. Massage also helps you sleep better, which also helps your immune system stay in top form.
Sometimes we do fall ill, though. So I just want to take a minute here to remind you of my sick policy. If you do get sick, you may think that a massage would feel great, especially if you are achy or headache-y and sinus-congested... But your immune system is working overtime and we don't want to add more work for your already taxed system to do. Plus, I don't really want to share what you've got ;). So pIease, if you are sick (contagious phase/height of sickness), do not come in for a massage. If you have one scheduled that you need to cancel, as early as possible please call, email or send me a text message to let me know that you are sick, and we can re-schedule when you feel better. Cancellations due to illness are not subject to the 24-hour cancellation policy (although if I suspect that this kindness is being abused, I do reserve the right to request a doctor's note supporting your claim.) In return, I will also respect this same policy and not work on you when I am sick.
Do You YELP?
If you ever use Yelp! to find or review businesses, and you would be so inclined to review mine, that would really help me out. CLICK HERE TO REVIEW
If you don't Yelp but still would like to give feedback, I would love to hear it (and it would help me a lot to get new clients if you had something great to say)! You can leave a review on Facebook, and Sarapeutic also has a Google+ page.
THIS AND THAT
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT?
I have a blog where I talk about health and wellness topics, massage-related and also general. I haven't written much lately, but plan to write more frequently in the months ahead. Is there anything you would like to learn about? Let me know! Read it here
A REMINDER
You can now book last minute appointments online, up to one hour before your desired appointment time. As a matter of fact, online booking is probably the easiest way to book last minute, as I can't answer the phone if I am in session.
CHAIR MASSAGE!
Would you like to get chair massage at your work? Having a fundraiser, fair or event? I would love to coordinate with you, or your company or organization, to do on-site chair massage at any event or on a regular basis. Please pass my information to your contact person, I'd be happy to talk to them about designing a program specific to your needs!
