Atlantic Records and Advertising Agency Deutsch Inc. invited me to create the new album photography for the intrepid Charlie Puth.  We shot at the famous MSR Studios in New York City.  We wanted to do the photos in a recording studio because that is where Charlie spends most of his time, producing music for himself and many other artists in the top 100.  He played the night before the shoot with Meghan Trainor on Pier 97 where I was able to witness some of his lovely fans under 5' tall viewing the show from selfie sticks!  The shoot was fantastic, looking forward to watching this young prodigy rise.

Capitol Records invited me to do some photos of Beck while he was filming his video for "Dreams" to get the backdrop shots for this animated clip. Beck is always down to be creative and do cool stuff, even if he's been dancing for 9 hours straight!  Love that about him.  Pitchfork and BMG also had me do photos of Beck and Jakob Dylan performing 60's era songs of Laurel Canyon at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Los Angeles.  You can see more photos of Cat Power, Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor and more on Pitchfork.com.

Having had so much fun doing the photo shoot for this lovely lad, we realized we wanted to keep working together, so he asked me to direct a music video for his new EDM dance track "SOULS".  The video features Borgeous as a modern day casanova who steals the "it" girl from M. BRONX, the songs vocalist.  Bronx then turns Borgeous harem of sirens against him, leaving him tied up in their clutches and takes his lady back in the end.

I did photos of
Juliette Lewis for the cover of Shepard Fairey/Roger Gastman's Swindle Magazine in 2007.  She asked me to get together and do some shots for her up coming shows and to help her kick off some new tunes which are BRILLIANT!  Dean Gonzalez of Beast Editorial Chicago and Brett Glover of Method Studios Chicago created this animated video clip using my photos and Juliette's new song "Future Deep".  Juliette is so fun to photograph, she really does bring a ray of sunshine wherever she goes!  She's playing The Roxy in December, do yourself a favor and watch her go.

Matthew Koma is my good friend and I think he's incredibly special.   We worked together on one of his first music videos and have been shooting together ever since.  I even met JJ Lewis his stylist on this shoot who has also become someone I love to work with often.  The shoot was awesome because like Beck and Charlie Puth, Matthew is open to doing anything, he's a real artist.

Speaking of Laurel Canyon in the 60's, one might say Lael Neale slightly channels that time period as she brings her lovely and haunting songs on strong with her new album "I'll Be Your Man".  We did such a beautiful shoot, but with her as the subject you can see how easy that is.  Love this girl.

Last but certainly NOT least, is the man, the myth, the LEGEND Jeff Lynne of ELO for
Mojo Magazine!  This was such an epic experience as I've driven around in my car with the windows down on a summer Sunday with any number of his hits blasting.  Even though he hides behind the shades, the man of mystery is very funny, sweet and approachable. Can't wait for the tour so I can geek out in the front row with the other 50 million people who have bought his albums...I hope he comes out in a spaceship again! Thank you for checking out some of my new work!
I would love to shoot something with you so hit me up.
Much Love,
Piper
