The Polar Express

Thursday, December 3: 4:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.
Friday, December 4: 10:00 a.m., 4:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.

We invite all those who "truly believe" to board the Polar Express and experience this favorite book by Chris Van Allsburg. Tickets are required for this free event due to limited seating and are available by calling 330-683-1065, or by stopping by the Children's Department (maximum 2 adult
tickets per child).

The Polar Express runs on December 3 at 4:30 p.m. (limited tickets still available) or 6:30 p.m (FULL). and also on December 4 at 10 a.m., 4:30 p.m. (limited tickets still available), or 6:30 p.m (FULL). Don your PJ's and come aboard for a magical trip into this holiday classic!
 

Food for Fines
Monday, November 23- Saturday, December 5
 

Help the community and lower the fines on your library account! We are once again offering Food for Fines this holiday season. From Monday, November 23 through Saturday, December 5, stop by the library and donate non-perishable, non-expired food items to receive credit for overdue fines on Orrville Library materials. Each food item donated will be worth 50 cents. Please note this credit is for overdue Orrville fines only, not for charges for lost or damaged items. Book Club
Tuesday, December 15: 6:30 p.m.

"A Walk in the Woods" by Bill Bryson is the Book Club's December read. All are welcome to join us at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15. Copies are available at the Circulation Desk. We hope to see you there!



Reindeer Games
Tuesday, December 8: 9:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.
 

Storytime-aged children are invited to join us for a special storytime celebrating Santa's Reindeer friends! Call or stop by the Children's Department to register for this event or for more information: 330-683-1065.



 

Art 101 with Kristin Lorson
Thursday, December 10: 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, December 12: 11:00 a.m.

 

Kristin Lorson will join us for two more Art 101 classes in December. Adult participants will be guided through painting a winter scene with a snowman! Though both classes have already filled, those interested may put their name on a waiting list by contacting the Information Desk: 330-683-1065. Thank you again to our Friends of the Library group for sponsoring this event!

Candy Cane Golf
Wednesday, December 30: 2:00 p.m.
 

Join us as we turn the Children's Department into a golf course! Test your skills trying to putt with over-sized candy canes. Children grades K-3 are invited to tee off at 2:00 p.m. Registration is required: stop by or call the Children's Department to sign-up: 330-683-1065. 


 

Ginger Bread Houses
Saturday, December 12: 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.
 

Children grades K-4 are invited to join us as we build gingerbread houses. We will provide everything needed to make this fun holiday treat! Registration is required; call or stop by the Children's Department to save a spot: 330-683-1065.
 

ARTbots
Thursday, December 29: 1:00-3:00 p.m.
 

School-aged children are invited to stop by the library to create a robot that makes art! We will provide everything needed to create a Robo-Van Gough! For more information or to register, call or stop by the Children's Department: 330-683-1065.
