HVAC Techs, Plumbers and Electricians Rehabilitate Springs Rescue Mission Building and Deliver Hope

Contractors attending the MSCA 2015 Conference last month at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, took time away from the event to upgrade the HVAC system with new equipment at the Springs Rescue Mission and deliver a bountiful harvest to the non-profit in support of the nonprofit's mission of serving the needs of homeless and struggling families.

On Friday, October 16, Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers welcomed the arrival of a Convoy of Hope semi-truck packed with supplies, valued at more than $40,000, while volunteers unloaded the trailer and stocked the Springs Rescue Mission shelves. Mayor Suthers issued a proclamation recognizing the extraordinary efforts of the organizations and volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of many in the Colorado Springs and Pike Peak region.

MSCA has partnered with the Convoy of Hope since 1994 to help the impoverished and homeless. Each year, in the city the annual MSCA conference is held, supplies are delivered to families in need resulting in the donation of more than $170,000 in food and other goods.

Thank you to Carrier for donating the HVAC equipment, Mayor Suthers and to all of the contractors that helped make this year's community outreach event a success!
