Happy
Thanksgiving!

What better place to get all your holiday fixings?

Turkey, chicken, beef, veal, pork, lamb, water buffalo, eggs, cheese, fish, late fall vegetables, bakery items, honey, maple syrup, chutneys, prepared entrees and side dishes, and pumpkins, apples and frozen blueberries to make those pies!

We had a great first week at Aubuchon last week! We'll be back again this Friday with all your favorite things. Be sure to check in with your farmer and preorder any specialties you may need for the holidays!

Fire Flower Garden will be back this week with dried flowers for your holiday decor and pottery for gifts.

Springdale Farm will be re stocked with stew meat, chuck roasts, shaved steak and much more.  We will also have 5 lb bags of marrow bones, knuckles and soup bones for $20.  Make your own stock and bone broth!  And don't forget our delicious cream cheese!

Appleton Creamery is taking orders for full wheels of Camdenbert for the holidays. Order early, before I cut it all up for market! Pick up a recipe for creating our famous baked Camdenbert in fillo, or a recipe to brine your turkey in whey -- it will be the best turkey you ever ate!

With winter on the near horizon, it's been a busy week at ME Water Buffalo Co.  Fixing hay troughs & waterers, tidying stalls, putting up wind breaking tarps, winterizing tractors along with lots of cheesemaking to prepare for the upcoming Maine Harvest Festival in Bangor. ME Water Buffalo Co.will be at the market this week. Brian & the kiddos will be manning the booth while Jessica is at a cheese making class. Buffalo mozzarella, ricotta, cream top yogurt jars, buffeta (buffalo feta), ground meat, sausage & stew meat. Raw buffalo cream line milk too!!! Yum!

And don't forget, the EBT/credit card machine is back, so you can use your card at market.

See you at market! Fridays at Aubuchon, 9 to 1.

(You can even get a start on Christmas shopping!)

Honey Roasted Butternut Squash with Feta

In-season squash and cranberries take center stage in this stunning side. Feta adds a burst of saltiness.

  • salt, pepper, and garlic powder, to taste
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 2-3 Tbsp. honey
  • ¼ cup finely crumbled Feta
  • Ground cinnamon, to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional)
