Trust MamaYe to bring you evidence, infographics and blogs on preterm birth

Read on and then take action!
17 November is World Prematurity Day, where we remember those babies who are born too soon and the challenges it brings to them and their families.

Every year across the world, over 15 million babies are born too soon. Deaths due to preterm birth complications are now the leading cause of deaths in children who have not yet reached their fifth birthday. There is much that we can do to prevent those deaths - solutions which are evidence-based and cost-effective.

Read more about why tackling prematurity matters or check out what your government has promised to achieve for newborns in your country. And read Katherine's story, a nurse/midwife from Nigeria, who was herself born too soon.

Now is the time to scale up quality care to all women and newborns for them to survive, thrive and transform society. Join us - act now!
