Please join the M & M's on December 3rd  at 11:30 a.m. for our Christmas lunch! We have arranged to meet at the Pearl Restaurant; we have not been for several years so time to visit again.
Pearl is located at  700 Bellevue Way N.E. Bellevue Wa 98004,  (Lincoln Square area) There is a discount for valet parking if you go just across the drive, at  the Westin hotel, so no one gets lost.
The entrance is on Bellevue way.  Drive in and down the drive a little,  Pearl  is on the left,  Westin parking and hotel is on the right. This  should be great fun and so far they are not too busy for the holidays. The menu is Contemporary Northwest and they seem to have updated the menu nicely for  more fresh dishes. We apologize for delays last meeting, but one of  the chef's little gals had broken her arm so he had to go to the urgent care / hospital. All turned out great,  though a little later for us! Reserve  your spot for December with Rose Hart, Coordinator M and M's.

Join us for worship November 14th & 28th at 5P!
A missional mindset, is an approach, an understanding that we must intentionally and with dedicated effort seek out, invite and bring others into a relationship with Christ Jesus. One of the ways we're doing such at St. Peter's is with our Powerful Praise worship experience. Please share with persons this opportunity for a radically different worship experience. Pray for it to be fruitful and financially donate to it that it may better reach out. Starting in September, Powerful Praise will be on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month at 5P.

The United Methodist Women will meet the 4th Sunday of each month to write cards to church family and friends. Please join us for this inspirational and supportive project. Any questions please contact  Debbie Miller.
St. Peters’ UMC members,
If a member of our church has an extended illness and wishes a visit from Pastoral Partners, please consult Rev. Steve Baber who will assign a Pastoral Partner.  Annually In December our committee gathers in the fellowship hall to create gifts of love for the shut-ins. All members are welcome to assist us creating these packages.  Debbie Miller graciously creates cookie packages.
Save the date for Saturday December 5th, from 5pm to 7:30pm for our annual Holiday Potluck dinner. There will be a Mini Bazaar brought to you by the United Methodist Women. Start looking for your festive sweater to wear and bring your favorite potluck dish to share with all. Bring family and friends to join us. An evening of fun, fellowship, shopping, festive music. Add this to your December calendar.
The next SPR meeting will be on Thursday, Nov. 19th at 2:00P.
If you have any reports that need to be submitted for the Charge Conference, please get them into the office as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your help!

The ad hoc committee on the Winter Shelter is organizing a meeting for the neighborhood to introduce this year’s event and take questions from neighbors. This is something that has been done each time St. Peter’s has hosted a Winter Shelter. The meeting will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 21st in the Fellowship Hall. Refreshments will be provided.

The shelter will host women and families, as last year, and will run from January 1st to March 31st. The ad hoc committee on the Winter Shelter will be meeting with Catholic Community Services (CCS) and The Sophia Way (TSW) on November 17th to coordinate procedures, taking into account the issues previously noted to keep the shelter running smoothly.

Any issues of note that should be addressed at the meeting with CCS and TSW can be directed to Pat King (jm7041@comcast.net).

Please bring any Christmas items in good condition to sell at the bazaar to the church library starting November 22nd through December 4th. Bring any bakery items in on December 3rd and 4th. The UMW thanks you!

Fill a Bag, Feed a Family food drive begins next Sunday, Nov. 1st and runs through Nov. 30th.  Our annual drive benefits Hope Link’s food bank, with the goal being to replenish shelves that are empty after the Thanksgiving rush.  You may bring your non-perishable donations in and add to a bag, or bring a bag full of groceries (paper bags with handles are best).  As the bags are filled, they’re placed along the walls of the sanctuary to remind us that every day people on the Eastside go to bed hungry.  Call the church office with questions.

Please join us for “Women’s Fellowship” on the third Wednesday of each month from 10 am until noon in the Fellowship Hall. This is a time for socializing and sharing fellowship. Those who are crafty can bring their knitting projects or sewing projects or other crafts. As we did with our previous Wednesday Socials you can share coffee and conversation with your friends. We are adding another element with knitting, crafting, and sewing for those who desire. Some of us will be working on preparing sewing projects for the ladies who like to sew. Refreshments will be served. Questions call Diana Wilson, 425-641-3297. All women are invited.
