      THANK YOU

The holiday season is important for celebration and reflection. Here in the Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies at OSU we are reflecting with gratitude on the hard-fought feminist and social justice victories that have paved the way for many of the rights that we enjoy today. We are especially thankful to those who have paved the way for feminist studies to be incorporated into OSU. We are celebrating you, our alumni, faculty, and donors who have made this progressive academic space possible.
Our undergraduate and graduate students along with faculty and staff came together in October at our annual departmental open house to share the importance of this space and to express why we are thankful for feminism. These small reminders now decorate our office space and promote a culture of gratitude. While for feminists there is so much farther to go, we would like to pause and say thank you.
Moving forward, we are asking that the support be continued. Help us continue to pave the way for future feminists by making a tax-deductible donation (no amount is too small!) to support our program and allow us to foster feminist thinkers as an investment in a more egalitarian future for students and society at large.

Currently we have two major goals with our Program Support Fund.

Outreach and Engagement Initiatives
We strive to strengthen our outreach and engagement initiatives by encouraging our undergraduate students to apply their feminist scholarship through engaging experience with their community. Your support will provide our students hands-on experience that will strengthen their skills, develop leaders, and enhance long-term career opportunities.

Engaging Scholars and Enhancing Our Pedagogy
We also strive to keep our current graduate students, faculty and university communication engaged in emerging topics of feminist inquiry by selecting a series of renowned scholars to visit our campus each year. Your gift will allow us to offer engaging pedagogical workshops to critically examine our existing curriculum and strengthen our learning environments.

In addition, we are always working to bolster our Graduate Student Support Fund. Currently we are are trying to raise funds to support a more diverse and inclusive graduate student population by furthering the scholarship of underrepresented scholars in the field. These funds will provide additional research and dissertation support for WGSS graduate students to support their professional goals and leadership in academia.

Please give today to support these important initiatives and our inspiring students. To learn more, visit our website.
