6th Annual Soccer Fest

If you've never attended our Soccer Fest/Coaches Cup, this is a FREE event you won't want to miss! We begin at 5:00 at Black Mountain Elementary School with Soccer Olympics for both recreational AND competitive players. Prizes will be awarded to the top scores in each age group. Then we move to the Cactus Shadows High School varsity football stadium for our Coaches Cup game between the Elite trainers our our oldest Elite players, both hoping to win the coveted "Coaches Cup" trophy!

There will be food trucks, awesome raffle baskets, and lots of fun. Each player wearing a DFAC uniform will receive a FREE raffle ticket. And for recreational teams, don't forget to bring your banner to display at half time for our banner competition. We will also be announcing the winner of the Recreational Coach of the Year* award.

* Ask your child why their coach should win the Coach of the Year Award. Send an email to desertelitecup@gmail.com and include your child's name, age group, and reason (in their own words) why their coach should win. All submissions due by Wednesday, November 18.

Registration for Winter Recreational Basketball is wrapping up, but there is still time to sign up online HERE until November 18. Practices start in December AFTER recreational soccer is over, and games are finished before Spring Soccer begins. You know what that means - kids can play BOTH!

Congratulations to the Desert Elite '02 Boys Red team for winning the MSC Patriots Cup this weekend. The team won the championship in exciting fashion, earning the victory in a dramatic penalty shootout. Our lads held their nerve and were clinical in their finishing as we converted our first three attempts. Needing a goal to stay in the match, our opponents attempt was well saved by Goalkeeper Chino Ramirez...who was immediately mobbed by his jubilant teammates as they celebrated the hard fought victory. Well done to the '02 Boys Red team and all the DFAC teams who participated in the tournament this weekend!
