Christmas Party Info & Driving Directions
What: The Annual Grand Strand Miata Club Christmas Party
When: Saturday, December 19, 2015. Arrive between 3:30 and 4:00 PM for appetizers, dinner at about 5:00 PM.

Who's Invited? Everyone, Especially new people
It's our annual Christmas Party! Food, fun, and fellowship! Gather at the Rheault's house at about 3:30 PM. The Rheaults will be serving a ham - everyone else will bring a dish to share. We'll sort out the details in the coming weeks.
As in previous years, there will be a "White Elephant" gift exchange. If you want to participate, bring a wrapped gift. A couple can bring one gift or two. For each gift you bring, you can choose a gift during the exchange. The gift can be something you buy (under $10) or already have (re-gifting is OK). It can be nice or a gag and doesn't need to be car-related, although that's OK. Plan to bring the adult beverages you want to drink.
Ken and Grace will be out of town from Nov. 30 until December 13 but they will check email occasionally. Bill and Marie (who send these club emails) will be out of town from now until Nov. 23. SAVE THIS EMAIL. There won't be any updates until the end of November. Don't worry - if we've all learned one thing over the years, it's how to throw a Miata Club party.
Driving Directions:
From Highway 17
1. Follow Highway 17 from the South or North to Little River, SC, to the stoplight at Mineola Ave, State Rd 26-50.
From the north...Turn Right on to Mineola at the Kangaroo Gas Station.
From the South... Turn Left on to Mineola Ave, State Rd 26-50.
In other words, turn away from the Little River waterfront area.
2. Follow Mineola Ave 0.6 miles to Brooksville Rd, S-26-111. Turn left on to Brooksville Rd/Little River Rd.
3. Continue on Little River Rd for 1.6 miles to Hartwell Dr. At the 3rd Lafayette Park entrance turn right on to Hartwell Dr.
4. Take the first right, 250 feet on to Nicolet Court. The address is 209 Nicolet Court. You have arrived!
From the south on Highway 31, Carolina Bays Parkway
This route saves you from having to drive all the way into Little River and then back out again.
1. Follow Highway 31 north all the way to the end, to the Loris/Dillon exit. Go over the overpass, turn to your left and blend onto Highway 9 headed west.
2. Follow Highway 9, 0.2 miles to Highway 57. It is the first traffic light at Bell and Bell Auto Dealer. Turn right on to Highway 57.
3. Follow highway 57, 2.3 miles to Little River Rd. in Brooksville. Turn right onto Little River Rd.
4. Follow Little River Rd 1.3 miles to Hartwell Drive, the First Lafayette Park entrance from the North West.
5. Follow Hartwell drive 250 feet to Nicolet Court. Our address is 209 Nicolet Court, third house on the left.

Our Annual Planning Meeting
Once or twice each year we have an "official" meeting of the club to plan out what we will do in the coming months. This year our planning meeting will be on Sunday afternoon, January 24, 2016. As in the past, we'll have the meeting first followed by a pot luck dinner. This meeting will be held at the clubhouse in Mike and Ann Kohler's neighborhood just outside of Conway, SC. Who's invited? Everyone, especially new people. People who don't attend this annual meeting always find themselves appointed to the worst committees. Lots more details will be coming in future emails.
