Tomorrow is the Big Day!

For the last several months, YWAM SF Bay Area has been planning a fundraiser for our YWAM San Francisco Tenderloin location as they continue to raise money toward their mortgage. Not long after arriving back from Australia, I've been taking regular trips to San Francisco to volunteer some of my time to help give the center a little makeover. We've even had YWAM Bay Area work days to paint, clean and help with whatever is needed. Now things are cleaned up... TOMORROW is the day.

We have Loren Cunningham, the founder of YWAM, as the key-note speaker for this evening. We will be seeing a performance from some adorable little dancers who are taking dance from YWAM's Because Justice Matters ministry. This event will really showcase not only the incredible work that is happening in the Tenderloin but also the beautiful synergy there is within the family of YWAM Bay Area.

Please be praying for this event. We would love to see a significant amount raised in this time to take some pressure of facility fundraising. I will make sure to update you after the event... photos and all!

Just to quickly update you on us and prayer requests:

FAMILY: Please be praying for our family as we have lost quite a few donor partners this year. We continue to fund-raise and seek new partnerships. Without partnerships like yours, we can not do ministry. If you would consider spending some time in prayer for us, we would be so grateful. We practice a life of dependence upon God for financial provision and we realize that this comes primarily through His people. Please pray that God would draw us toward people that are mission minded and would be happy invest into us as we lead and build the ministry of Ember Ink.

YOUTH STREET: Our small Halloween was a success. We ran out of candy just after dark and we have droves of people come and take pictures at our Photo Booth. We can't wait to dig into our big Halloween next year as we love broadening our connection in the neighborhood. Please pray as we start to plan for the transition out of this slower season.

DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL: Things are well underway. We're out there actively recruiting staff and students. Please be praying for key staff to come in and for the student numbers we need.
