E2D program selected for first-ever Digital Inclusion Leadership Award:

Inspired by 12-year-old Franny Millen, who wanted to help more of her classmates access the Internet at home, Eliminate the Digital Divide (E2D) has provided homes with school-aged children a computer and access to Internet. Read the award announcement on the 6 winners.
The current state of internet access is simply a question of policy. Susan Crawford, co-director of the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard, spoke at the Knight School of Communication at Queens. Read summary here.

Gaston County approves a $975,000 grant request from the Gaston Gigabit committee to create a hybrid Business Incubator/Gigabit Internet Technology Innovation Center/Co-Working Space in Gaston County.
