Africa Update
The last few weeks have been packed with activity.  I was in Ethiopia from October 8-20, hosting "Ride For A Purpose 2015".  It was a motorcycle trip to raise funds and awareness for Senai's projects across Ethiopia, and to explore some new areas where Senai can expand its ministry.  It was an epic trip! Three friends joined me from America (Brad Wyatt, Curt Johnson, Zach Johnson) and we covered over 1,000 miles through the bush of Southern Ethiopia.  Donations are still coming in for the projects we are sponsoring. I can't wait to share the final total that was raised through this fundraiser!  Below is a photo journal of our trip.

I returned to South Africa to host the 2015 Samaritan's Feet South Africa Barefoot Gala on October 23. We had over 220 people join us for an elegant evening to promote awareness and give people the opportunity to partner with this ministry.   The founders of Samaritan's Feet, Manny and Tracie Ohonme, along with a delegation of guests from Charlotte, NC said it was one of the best charity events they had ever attended!  Through the proceeds from the gala we were able to serve over 1,000 people on Oct 25/26, sharing the message of the Gospel, as we washed their feet, and gave them new shoes.  We plan to host this event every year. Please join us in 2016!
We would like to connect with each one of you over the phone!  Time zones are always tricky, but Janna and I are going to try to contact as many of you as possible!  If you haven't heard from us in the next week, please send us your phone number in an email and we will make sure to contact you!  We want to share where we have been and where we are going ... a great year-end push to launch us into 2016!
Our "Ride For A Purpose 2015" team!  We covered over 1,000 miles on off-road KTM 690's motorcycles.
A special visit to the Hamer tribe's bull jumping ceremony.  This is a right of passage for every boy becoming a man.  We were the only "foreigners" invited.  This was a real life National Geographic moment!
First "Selfie" in the Hamer tribe.  They got such a kick of seeing themselves!  They wear mostly animal hides and beads with style their hair with clay.
Visiting the Karo tribe alongside the Omo River in SW Ethiopia.
In front of the Harding Bible School.  I was able to speak to 34 of the students who are enrolled there this semester!  Challenged them on how God will use them for generations!  Great to visit my best friend Temusgen in Yirga Cheffe.
We had coffee in my friend's hut.  We picked the coffee berries from the bushes outside his house.  While we were there he cleaned, roasted, brewed them.  This brings whole new meaning to "bean to cup". A special time of fellowship and sharing!
Here is my dear friend, Ben Skaggs, sharing about the Gospel work being done in remote tribes in SW Ethiopia.  This is one of the projects Senai wants to get behind and support.  We were able to visit a handfulf of these tribes on this trip.
Our view from Arba Minch, Ethiopia.  An amazing spot to rest and reflect on our trip.  We would eat breakfast to the sound of hundreds of Colobus Monkeys chanting in the valley below!
Samaritan's Feet South Africa Black Tie Barefoot Gala!  Stunning setting, glory to God!
Manny and I are bookends to two beautiful ladies!  So blessed to have Founder of Samaritan's Feet International Manny and Tracie Ohonme join us from Charlotte, NC!
Janna serving at a local school in Franschhoek, South Africa!  Washing feet and sharing the message of hope through the Gospel!
A friend captured this special moment of my daughter Kerani and me. We just served members of the church planted by the Moon family.  It was a joy to wash feet, provide new shoes, and share God's love.
Serving over 750 children at a school in Franschhoek, South Africa with the Samaritan's Feet team from Charlotte, NC and the Moon family!
