Fulfilling VMAP's Promise*

New Valley of Wheeling, WV, Service Project Supports Our Military Men & Women Stationed Overseas
During its October Lodge of Perfection meeting, the Valley of Wheeling, WV, decided to launch a brand-new service project in time for the winter holiday season—donating nonperishable items that could be used to fill Christmas stockings, which could be shipped to our troops stationed overseas. Such stocking stuffers could include snacks, personal hygiene items, books, DVDs, puzzles, hard candy, sun screen, and anything else that might be useful to the troops.
Donations immediately began coming in to the Scottish Rite, and by the last week of October, the Valley had enough donated items to start filling stockings. On Thursday, October 29, 2015, a group assembled at the Scottish Rite Cathedral and stuffed 55 stockings, which they then packaged for shipment to our troops. Thank you to the amazing volunteers: Ill. Mike West, 33°; Bro. Brad Hufeld, KCCH; Bro. Gene Crowder, 32°; Bro. Chuck Ryan, 32°, KCCH, Personal Rep./ Gen. Secretary; and Virginia McAfee, Office Manager.
