November's Metro Cat

Thanks to Metro Pet Market for Spaying It Forward! This month, Metro paid for Savannah's spay surgery as part of their mission to foster responsible pet guardianship. Reminder: Book sale donations

Northgate Mall is graciously providing RCR with space to hold a book sale in February 2016. We’re now accepting donations for this fundraiser. Drop your unwanted books off in the front yard at 2410 Montague Street. Please ensure donations are in plastic to protect them from rain and snow.

Holiday party recycling

Planning a holiday party? Keep Regina Cat Rescue in mind for your empty cans and bottles. RCR will gladly accept your recyclable beverage containers and all the funds will be used to provide veterinary care for Regina's abandoned cats and kittens. You can drop off your recycling at 167 Bothwell Cres in Regina. Thanks for your support!

Reminder: In Good Taste fundraiser

Our popular In Good Taste fundraiser is back again, and this year we’ve included RCR Kit-Tea to make it easier than ever to get your tea fix. You can now order online at our website. Payment deadline is Monday, Nov. 23 and the payment options include e-transfer, cheque and cash. Pick-up will be Friday, Dec. 4. Meet Zima!

He's a delightful, mature fellow whose favourite activity is snoozing in sunbeams. This laid-back cat has been fostered with other cats and introduced to dogs, but would also do well as an only cat. Learn more about Zima.
Amazing solo rescue.
A big shout out to Darren from the Lumsden area for his extraordinary efforts in one amazing rescue. Darren rescued and socialized a beautiful kitty he named Brucey this summer, but he didn't stop there. He covered the cost of Brucey's spay surgery, and undertook finding her a home. When that home ended up being with a friend in B.C., Darren even covered Brucey's flights to her new home two province's away. Impressive work, Darren!

Forever homes found:
A total of 33 cats were adopted in October.

What is love?
Jayna Nicholson is selling copies of her book What is love? A story of mama cat and baby cat and will be donating a portion of the proceeds to RCR. Details available here.

Cecil, Blanche & George:
Our crowdfunding kitties are thankful for all the support! Blanche's surgery was performed on Oct. 23 and she's recovered wonderfully. Cecil's surgery is scheduled for Nov. 30 and George's surgery is scheduled for Dec. 1. Good luck, boys!

Upcoming events

  • Nov. 14 from 12 –  4 p.m. (both locations)
  • Nov. 15 from 12 –  4 p.m. (East store only)
