CEDA NEWS NOVEMBER - Members and associates edition

Dear <<First Name>>

Get ready Warburton Valley - November is the month for big cycling events! Last week my fellow CEDA committee member Phil Wallens and I paid a visit to all the main street traders in Warburton to talk about the two national cycling events that will be held in the town (and surrounds) this month - Giro Della Donna and Vertical K. The response was terrific and we were pleased that all our traders and services were enthusiastic about what these events can bring to our Valley both this month and in the longer term in the form of repeat visit potential.

I am confident that we will look back on these events and see it as the month that truly put Warburton on the map for cycling both nationally and internationally. So it's great to see us all unite and put on the best possible experience for all those who participate.

This month is also the time we hold our AGM and networking event on November 18 so see below for important details about how to book and be involved in a wonderful meal at Bulong Estate. It promises to be an interesting evening and a great opportunity to meet others and celebrate the end of the year before we all get busy with the Christmas season. All are welcome, including partners. Thank you for your support.

Kind regards,
Peta Godenzi

NORDIC FESTIVAL - a great success and farewell

We'd like to acknowledge the hard work and success of CEDA member Leila  Myllymäki-Hay in staging another wonderful Nordic Festival in October. Leila estimates more than 1500 people attended over the two days and the Saturday night dinner was a sell out. Great weather, especially on the Sunday, saw lots of people - locals and visitors - enjoy a range of Nordic activities and Warburton come alive to the sound of the vikings call. Leila has also advised that was the last Nordic Festival but is excited to see what else might be created in its place.
What festival would you like to see in the Valley?
