Energy In Crisis: The Role Of Communications

The energy industry is known to be cyclical. Currently, its experiencing 16 months of depressed oil prices – below $50 per barrel –job losses, the slashing of capital budgets, project cancellation and shutdowns, and it’s expected the industry will lose money in 2015.

Communication 101: Is Your Portfolio Complete?

If you had a job interview tomorrow, would your portfolio be ready? Join us and three amazing industry professionals for a morning of networking, communicating and breakfast. The intention of this event will be to focus on practical skills that are required in the field of Communications, and to help build your portfolio as a student.

Employee Communications Group

This group provides an opportunity for internal communicators at all levels to get together to discuss all things employee communications including challenges, projects, ideas and opportunities. The Employee Communications Group gets together on the second Wednesday of the month from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Gravity in Inglewood (909 10 St. SE).

Company Of One

A group of independent communications consultants who meet to discuss a range of communications topics, share consulting opportunities, and provide professional support on communications and business ownership. The group leads the planning of professional development and conducts a salary survey of independent consultants every two years. We are modifying the date and time of Company of One. Connect With IABC – Membership Month Has Been Extended

People who join or renew during the month of October will have their $40 application fee waived AND will also receive a 10 per cent discount on the International IABC dues. This is the first time this extra discount is being offered and will only be available until the end of November.
