E-learning, culture and language

E‐learning has always been used to deliver education and training to audiences based in different locations. Most people first encounter e‐learning at work ‐ virtually all major corporations utilise it as a cost effective way to roll out training to employees around the globe. Similarly, universities are now increasingly using this online format to deliver academic courses to remotely‐based students.

However in recent years e‐learning has also taken on a new purpose ‐ supporting cultural heritage and identity.

E‐learning is helping to answer a question that young Mexican families often struggle with when they move abroad ‐ as their children grow up in another country how will they ensure that they maintain an interest in their native culture? And if they travel to a country that does not have a strong Mexican community ‐ how can they ensure that their children feel Mexican?

Oil deal of the year: Mexico sets for $6 billion windfall

Mexico is set to get a record payout of at least $6 billion from its oil hedges this year, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. For 2015, Mexico guaranteed sales at almost $30 a barrel higher than average prices over the past year.
