Week of November 23, 2015 | KC Streetcar Update | Happy Thanksgiving
KC STREETCAR TESTING
Testing of KC Streetcar vehicle #801 continues this week. Anticipate the streetcar to make runs on Main Street and around the River Market on Monday and Tuesday.
Please do not park on the tracks or double park on the streetcar route. When parking along the streetcar route, please make sure the entire parked vehicle is within the white painted line, this includes wheels and side mirrors.
KC Streetcar crews are working to complete corner restoration, roadway striping and curb and crosswalk work before the holiday. All areas will be cleaned up prior to the holiday weekend.
CROSSROADS & RIVER MARKET
Grand between 3rd - 5th roadway striping.
Main St Viaduct roadway striping.
CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT
11/24: Petticoat between Walnut - Main roadway striping starts at 7:00am. Petticoat closed at Main for the day.
7th: Corner work.
13th: ADA ramps, curb and crosswalk work.
14th: Southwest corner work.
Job wide street light work and permanent signage installs continues.
About the Downtown Kansas City Streetcar Starter Line
The two-mile, north-south Downtown KC Streetcar will travel along Main Street and connect the River Market to Crown Center and Union Station, serving the Central Business District, the Crossroads Art District, and the Power and Light District, as well as numerous businesses, restaurants, art galleries, educational facilities and residents.
