Greetings,
I love this week of the year! It’s the kickoff of the holiday season which brings to mind visions of festive lights and decorations, cooler weather (a big deal for my fellow Floridians) and copious amounts of good food. Hopefully you have friends and family around you this week, and are preparing for a successful Black Friday or Cyber Monday (if that’s your cup of tea). Unfortunately, holidays are a tough time of the year for some, especially for those who may be dealing with the emotions of an empty nest, recent death or some other major life event. We also know that while being with family is a blessing, families can be messy and can stir up intense emotions. I encourage you to consider reaching out to those who are struggling because there are few things in life that are more fulfilling than helping others.
At Rice Psychology Group we are giving thanks for the opportunity to get to know so many brave, creative and simply fantastic individuals and families through our work. We also appreciate you allowing us into your lives through these bi-weekly newsletters, which we truly hope have helped to provide useful information and perhaps even comfort in a time of need.
Best wishes as you travel to or prepare your Thanksgiving dinners. May your turkey come out juicy, your stuffing moist, and the marshmallows on your sweet potatoes just the right shade of toasted. And as my Great Grandfather Sam Cohen would say “Health Above All.”
Warmly,
|
