After the German invasion of the neutral kingdom of Belgium in early August 1914, the Belgian Army was forced to retreat to a small area of the country and was able to courageously hold this area until the end of the war in 1918. This 600-page, richly illustrated book shows the profound transformation of the uniforms and equipment of this army, from the coloured tunics of 1914/15 to the khaki uniforms of 1915-18.
